What Chimney Inspection level do you need?
Below are three inspection levels summary and services which should be provided for each level as specified by the NFPA 211
Inspection Level I
If your unit or your air duct system has not changed and you intend to use your system as you have in the past, then a Level 1 inspection is a minimum requirement. A Level 1 inspection is recommended for a chimney under continued service, under the same requirements, and with the continued use of the same appliance.
Inspection Level II
A Level 2 inspection is needed when any modifications are made to the system. Modifications may include a change in the fuel type, changes to the shape of the pipe (i.e. relining), or the replacement. Besides, a Level 2 inspection is needful upon the sale or transfer of a property or after an operation malfunction or external event that is likely to have caused damage to the chimney. Building fires, chimney fires, seismic issues as well as climate events are all indicators that this level of inspection is needed.
Inspection Level III
A Level 3 inspection covers all the areas and items checked in a Level 1 and a Level 2 inspection, as well as the removal of certain components of the building or chimney where needed. Removal of parts (i.e., interior chimney wall, chimney crown) could be required only when necessary to get access to areas that are the subject of the inspection. When serious risks are suspected, a Level 3 inspection may well be required to determine the condition of the chimney system.

Certified and experienced pros
Once you are ordering a chimney inspection, it's important to be sure that the inspector is a CSIA Certified Chimney Technician. All the others: NFI, CCP, NCSG certified are not really qualified to be examining your client's chimney. Our technicians are all certified by the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA). This means we follow the three different levels of chimney inspections developed by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) in its code NFPA 211, the Standard for Chimneys, Fireplaces, Vents, and Solid Fuel Burning Appliances.

Absolutely perfect!! Courteous, professional, clean, timely service!! Technicians (Vano and Aleksey) were on time, explained every step of the process, and even took off the shoes in the house to help us avoid to washing floors later :) The job they performed was meticulous, with them paying attention to the tiniest details. Also, I want to express my gratitude to the highly professional customer service of Green Air Care - all communications were courteous, on time as well as kept us informed all of steps of the process.Highly Recommend!!!!

Vado was great! Took off his shoes when he came in , really personable - guy was super friendly and did a great job. I found them because they came recommended by a few different people in my building. Very happy I choose them and will definitely use them for the next time we need cleaning.

Green Air Care did an outstanding job! Highly professional & helpful. They are listed under the "find a pro" section of the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA.org). Dymitri was highly knowledgeable & friendly. It was easy to make an appointment & communication was excellent. The cost was upfront & reasonable. After setting up the monitoring equipment, he texted the results & they indicated VOCs as expected. Highly recommend.
